HELP SAVE LIVES

Last night’s event was very successful. Chris Plant from Derbyshire Mountain Rescue gave an informative and thought-provoking presentation to about 35 of our group members at Rolleston Club.

It really is amazing what these guys and girls get up to, rescues in awful terrain, rescues from water, winching casualties into helicopters, giving advanced first aid care, working search dogs, keeping their training up to date and their kit in tip top condition, to name but a few. AND THEY ARE ALL VOLUNTEERS.

As walkers we never know when one of us might need their help, so if you were unable to attend last night but would like to support the Mountain Rescue team you can do so via any of the methods shown in the photo.
