2016 Weekend

Friday's walk started at Bowden Bridge, went up and over Middle Moor and down to Little Hayfield, then up to Lantern Pike. The gradual descent down to the Sett Valley Trail took us back to Hayfield.

Saturday's walk started at Dove Stone Reservoir and after passing three Reservoirs we scrambled up Birchen Clough and across the plateau towards Chew Reservoir and back down to Dove Stones.

Sunday's walk started at Fairholmes Car Park and after crossing the Ladybower Reservoir Dam, took us up to Win Hill and back via Haggs Farm and Lockerbrook Coppice.

Friday's walk was a loop of the Cown Edge Way from Charlesworth with a stop to study Robin Hood's Picking Rods just before Coombes Rocks.

Saturday's walk was from Tintwistle over Featherbed Moss to Chew Reservoir but after a pleasant dry morning the rain spoilt the afternoon.

Sunday's walk was from Birchen Clough following the Pennine Way to begin with and then along the banks of the River Alport to Alport Castles via the West End Moor trig point.
