| About Us |

As members of The Ramblers nationwide we want to:

In the East Staffordshire Group we have organised over 300 walks in the past year for all levels of ability.
The group started in 1994 with just a few members and has now expanded into a large group of friendly ramblers who enjoy a very varied programme of walks and social activities.

The area covered by the East Staffordshire Group is situated mainly to the west of Burton on Trent and north-westward to Uttoxeter and almost as far as Ashbourne to the north.

Almost 50% of our walks are arranged in this area but we travel quite often into South Derbyshire to enjoy the White Peak area of the Peak District National Park and also eastward into Leicestershire.
Cannock Chase is a favourite with many members and there are a few walks in South Staffordshire.
The Staffordshire Moorlands is a particularly beautiful area within easy reach for a challenging day out.

Besides the many walks which we enjoy, there are other activities throughout the year including weekends in other areas of the UK and abroad, social get-togethers, an archery evening, navigation training sessions and even a bike ride!

Walkers of all abilities are welcome to join us on two or three walks, to see if it suits their interests,
before becoming a full member of The Ramblers.
